Our first regularly scheduled social sewing club! Think of Community Quilt Club as a way to make quilty friends or spend time creating with your quilting with your sewist buddies. We'll start with the goal of using up our scraps (ours or yours!) in making quilts we can donate to worthy causes (kids in foster care, folks in cancer treatments, families experiencing homelessness, etc.). We'll reduce our textile waste and make meaningful quilts & friendships along the way. The idea is to build community, so we hope you'll put the Community Quilt Club on your calendar each month!
This club is meant for quilters & sewists of all skill levels and is a great opportunity to share your quilty skills and/or learn something new! (Attendees should be comfortable threading the sewing machine, loading the bobbin, and sewing a straight line).
We'll meet at Cut & Sew PHL on the first Friday of each month from 10a - 1p. Your $10 registration fee helps us cover thread, batting, backing, machine maintenance, staffing, etc.
