Parents, makers, trick or treaters, and spooky season enthusiasts, this supported studio time is for you!
Come work with us at Cut & Sew PHL for a safe and inspiring place to make your creative costume come alive! This open studio time will be supported by local fiber artist and instructor, Sarah Tyree-Francis (@stfmade) who has created costumes for herself and her kids using thrifted items, sewing and a little imagination and shop owner Melissa Clouser-Missett. We will have a variety of supplies on hand (fabric & felt scraps, thread, etc)… you bring the ideas, the main base for your costume, and any accessories you already have to get started!
We can’t wait to see your special one of a kind looks this fall!
This studio time is for all ages but kids 12 & under should be accompanied by an adult. We can assist with ideas and helping to figure out the process but you’ll be the one to do the sewing and construction. Sewing experience is helpful but not required.
Advance registration is encouraged, sign up for one hour or the whole day!

Photo references include a Racine Bells costume inspired by the movie A League of Their Own (Sarah’s home town is Racine,WI) and a Cheshire Cat costume inspired by a pair of Hannah Anderson purple pajamas from The Nesting House and a GAP purple beanie hat from Kid to Kid.
