Don't worry about adding a backpack to that Back-to-School Shopping List because your kiddo will have their very own, one-of-a-kind, handmade backpack ready to go when school rolls around in the Fall! Students will be guided through all the steps to create their backpack from planning, cutting, stitching, assembling, and even modeling (if they want)! We'll be making the Making Backpack by Noodlehead. This camp is open to sewists of all experience levels and is taught by local sewist and art educator, Melissa Clouser-Missett.
Monday - Friday
9am - 3pm
Ages: 8 - 13
Instructor: Melissa Clouser-Missett
All sewing materials will be provided. If students would like to bring their own fabric for the bag's exterior, they may bring 1 yard of a canvas fabric (7-9 oz). (Reach out with any questions.)
Students should bring a lunch, personal water bottle, and snack if needed. Weather permitting, we will get outside to the Mt Airy Playground for a lunch and movement break.
Our goal is to make our studio financially accessible to as many people as possible. We do this through our tiered pricing model.
If camp is sold out, email us at email@example.com to get on the wait list. All camps require at least 3 students to run.
