Summer Spool School is a series of classes offered throughout the Summer where students learn basic sewing skills and work through projects of their own design.  Students can come with an idea of what they want to make, take a look through our books & patterns for inspiration, or choose to work on a featured service sewing project which we'll rotate monthly (pet beds for animal rescues, pillowcases for kids in the hospital, etc.).

Classes are mixed age and skill level but are kept small (max. of 6) so that each student gets ample instruction, attention, and encouragement. All school-aged children (8-17) are welcome in this space and are encouraged to be their truest selves.

Summer Spool School will be offered June-August. We have designed this offering with the busy summer schedule in mind. Unlike our school-year Spool School, you don't need to worry about making a months-long weekly commitment over the summer. Below you can select as many dates as you would like for our Wednesday classes (and check out other days of the week here).

Summer Spool School listings are organized by day of the week. You are welcome to sign up for all one day of the week or mix and match!

*Please Note: The times for Summer Spool School classes vary week to week based on when other camps/classes are happening in the studio.  Please double check that the time works for you!

All materials and equipment are provided unless a student requires something for their project that we don't carry in our shop--in that case the student will be responsible for obtaining that material.

Our goal is to make our studio financially accessible to as many people as possible.  We do this through our tiered pricing model.

If you're new to our studio, please include in the Order Notes at checkout the following information:

  • Your child's name, age, & pronouns
  • Your child's sewing experience
  • The name and number of an emergency contact

Each class requires at least two students to meet our minimum enrollment requirement... so tell a friend! :)
