Student Reflections on QuiltCon 2025
"QuiltCon was the best! It was an awesome opportunity to see other quilters work, learn new sewing techniques, and speak with so many artists. I learned about the history of quilting and what an amazing community it is. Because of so many people supporting our fundraiser, I had the trip of a lifetime." -H.W.

"I want to start off by thanking anyone who donated, shared, was inspired by or helped to inspire this quilt. This quilt is a love letter to people who at one point or another were in my life but I’ve come to realize it is also a love letter to myself. It has been an honor to see it hanging up at quiltingcon with a second place ribbon next to it. I can’t believe that this little quilt has come so far and been seen by so many people. When making this quilt I learned life long lessons that I remind myself of on a daily basis, a huge one for me is to trust my emotions. I’m so thankful to my community for giving me the gift of getting to go to QuiltCon. I’m already so inspired to make something new after seeing so many different landscapes, meeting amazing people, and looking at this beautiful art form. I can’t believe I got to see so many incredible quilts and hear an amazing keynote by Tara Faughnan. This experience has meant the world to me to in every way imaginable. I’m so excited to start a project with this new found creativity. Thank you for being a part of this snapshot into my life." -A.B.
