Do you have some sewing experience and want to delve into the world of clothing and fashion? In this camp we will discuss different ways of sewing clothing including working from a pattern, knocking off staple favorites, creating your pattern from scratch, or even how to use a combination of all three! We will also learn about different fabric substrates and what they mean for construction, comfort, and the environment.

Students will use their acquired knowledge to design & construct a project of their own imagining. After learning about different ways to design, they will work with the instructor to come up with something that is interesting to them and doable during the camp.  Then we'll go on a local fabric shopping trip where the instructor will help students select appropriate materials for the project they have planned and help them to understand how to shop for their own projects in the future.  After that they'll come back to the studio and get to work!  We can't wait to see what you create!

Students should come on Day 1 with $50 cash which will be used to purchase fabric, thread, and a pattern (if needed) for the project they design.  Students will be responsible for consumable materials (fabric, thread, patterns, etc.).  The overall price of this camp has been reduced to account for the required cash each student should bring with them.
