We've been LOVING our one-off Family Sewing Classes so much that we're bringing you a way to dive even deeper into sewing with your little loved one!
Who: A caregiver and their child, aged 6-12
Duration: 4 classes 90 minutes each
In 'Let's Get Sewing' students will build foundational skills and gain confidence to create!
In this class, students will learn the basics of machine and hand sewing and build those skills over four class sessions. We will cover the basics of operating a sewing machine, get comfortable using hand sewing for decorative and functional purposes, and learn how to turn a concept into a simple sewing pattern!
This class is designed for caregivers and children to learn together and work collaboratively on projects. Classes 1 and 2 will focus on skill building with teacher-led projects, and classes 3 and 4 will have students choose and create their own project (with instructor guidance).
Each registration covers two seats: one kid (age 6-12) & one grown-up AND a little sewing snack (Goldfish & juice boxes). For best results, we'd like to stick to a 1:1 kid/grown up ratio. If you (one adult) would like to bring two kids, please reach out ahead of time to see if this is a possibility (hello@cutandsewphl.com).
Materials and equipment are included in your registration, so you don't need to bring anything at all!
- If this workshop is sold out, please join the waitlist by clicking the black button to the right to get an email when a seat opens up.
- This workshop requires at least 2 pairs to run.
