Calling all kids with big ideas! This camp will be jam-packed with skills that students will use to make their creative reuse visions come true! Techniques that will be covered include fabric piecing, alterations, embroidery and embellishing. We will spend time discussing ways to source fabric and give new life to materials we already have through mending and upcycling- so in addition to sewing, students will leave with an understanding of how to create in a way that prioritizes being a good steward to our earth!
Projects include fabric collages, quilts, and wardrobe revamping! Towards the end of the week, there will also be time for free sewing: students get to decide their project under the guidance of the instructor and let their creativity flow!
