Calling all kids with big ideas! This camp will be jam-packed with skills that students will use to make their creative reuse visions come true! Some techniques that will be covered include fabric piecing, alterations, embroidery and embellishing. The focus will be on creating in a way that limits waste and uses materials that are upcycled - so in addition to sewing, students will also learn how to create in a way that prioritizes being a good steward to our earth!

In this camp, students will come up with their own environmentally friendly projects under the guidance of the instructor. Some examples of projects include altering or mending clothing to breathe new life into an old outfit, using scraps or secondhand fabric for a quilt, collage, or stuffy - the sky's the limit! In this camp, kids are free to use their imagination to come up with any project that is environmentally friendly or sustainable in some way.

Monday - Friday
9am - 3pm
Ages: 8 - 14
Level: Beginner - Experienced
Instructor: Jhenny

At checkout, please include the following information in the "Notes" section (even if you've sewn with us before):

Students should bring a lunch, personal water bottle, and snack if needed.  Weather permitting, we will get outside to the Mt Airy Playground for a lunch and movement break.

Our goal is to make our studio financially accessible to as many people as possible.  We do this through our tiered pricing model.
