Join instructor Amanda Kosobud to stitch up The Archie Backpack pattern by Knot and Thread! This bag is perfect for stashing all your belongings on the go! It includes a laptop pocket and two other extra pockets on the inside. This bag is versatile for use as a school bag, personal travel bag, adventure bag and more!
On the first day of class, you will cut out your pieces and learn a quilting technique to add a flare of design and practicality to your fabric pieces. The next time you meet, you will be ready to put it all together and walk out the door with your personal, hand-made backpack!
Please bring the following materials with you to class:
- The Archie Backpack by Knot and Thread PDF Pattern or Paper Pattern. If you choose the PDF version, please follow printing instructions carefully to ensure the proper size.
- Fabric requirements listed on the back of the pattern
- 3 yds cotton/polyester blend webbing 1.5" width
- 1/4 yd Pellon SF-101
- (1) 30" Double Slide Handbag Zipper*
- (1) 12" Handbag zipper *
- 1 yd package of Annies Soft and Stable - 1 yard package measuring 36” x 58 OR 2 yds Pellon FF77 Flex foam
- Coordinating Polyester Thread
- (2) 1 ½” wide Rectangle Rings
- (2) 1 ½” wide Strap Sliders
- 1/3 yd Pellon 987F - Fusible fleece
