Join us in practicing the radical movement of repairing what you love and extending the life of items you already have. During this *FREE* Mending Marathon, you can bring something that needs a simple repair (think mending holes or sewing a button back on) and we'll either fix it for you or guide you in fixing it yourself! Celebrate Earth Day by learning a new skill you can use again and again to extend the use of your textile items. This is a FREE community event, so just stop in!
Please bring with you the item that needs to be repaired. Anything made of cloth is acceptable - clothing, school uniforms, home decor, stuffed animals, quilts, even (clean) dog toys are welcome! All tools and materials will be provided. We can't wait to see what you bring!
We'll have a small team of menders in the studio for this event, including our Visible Mending Instructor-extraordinaire, Sarah of @stfmade! To be sure we have the appropriate materials on hand, please register for this FREE event to let us know what you're bringing--or just pop in on Saturday April 26th!
If you choose to have us do the repair, you can take a walk across the street to Scoopful Delights and enjoy some ice cream while you wait! Mention Cut & Sew to get a little discount 😋🍨
All sewing skill levels and ages are welcome! This is a family friendly event.
