We've teamed up with Quilting for Good to get as many quilts longarmed as possible! After you've taken our Longarm Basics Class, you'll be eligible to participate in this quilt project to provide quilts to local families facing homelessness.
We're offering a reduced hourly rental rate ($12/hr vs $20/hr) for this project--or any quilt you're planning to donate, really!
Here's how it'll work...
1) When you're ready to rent time on the longarm, visit our Booking Page (via Google). You'll select the time you'd like to come and submit your booking THEN purchase ONE hour of longarm rental time here (you'll pay for the remainder of your time used in person). The one hour you're booking indicates what time you'd like to start that day. The end of the latest option indicates when you'll need to be finished. In the Order Note, please indicate the date & time you've chosen.
2) You'll come in at your scheduled time to find a quilt kit prepared for you by Q4G. You'll load the quilt independently and longarm it to your liking. This is a chance for you to get more practice on the longarm so have fun with it! If you would benefit from a Longarm Refresher to get started, that is an option!
3) Once you're finished longarming, you'll fold the quilt up and leave it with us at the studio. You'll checkout and pay for the remainder of your rental time (and $5 thread and needle fee) and we'll arrange for a Q4G pickup. Q4G volunteers finish the quilts and get them to their destinations. (If you'd like to help finish quilts, please let Q4G know!).
If the discounted rate is still a barrier for you to participate in this project, please reach out to us at hello@cutandsewphl.com
