We're doing it!! We're getting that Quilt Coat off your "Sewing Bucket List" and onto the "Yes, I Made This List"! And we've found the perfect fearless leader to lead you through it all! Paige Sato is a local fiber artist who is all about repurposing damaged vintage quilts and textiles into contemporary garments and multi-use accessories.
This Phase 1 class will start with a group brainstorm and consultation where you'll share your initial ideas, hear from others, and be inspired by Paige's expertise. You'll talk about acquiring vs. making the quilt, then spend some time choosing the right pattern for your goals.
Learn more about Paige and her work on her website at m.a.b.e.l (makers always bring extra love) and on her IG Paige Sato (@m.a.b.e.lstyle).

In Phase 2, you'll spend time preparing your pattern and quilt, then start cutting your quilt coat pieces with Paige's support.
In Phase 3, you'll sew your pieces together, work on the finishing touches, then--if time permits--have a photoshoot to show off your new make!
Class dates for all phases can be found here: Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3

You'll be responsible for all materials needed for your quilt coat, including fabric, quilt, pattern, printing, tape, etc. You'll have access to all of our equipment and tools during class, though!
