Come join us to sew your own pair of PJ Pants! This workshop is perfect for the seasoned sewist who wants to try their hand at making their own clothes! Students will learn how to use a pattern, cut their own pieces, sew the pieces together, install elastic, and hem the pant legs.
We'll use the free Walk the Plank PJ Pant pattern from Patterns for Pirates ( Sizes xxs - 3xL) and each student can choose their length: shorts, knee length, or pant length.
Each student will bring their own materials on the first day of class:
- Fabric (suggested fabrics include Cotton or Flannel) 3yds for full length version, 2 yds for knee length version, 1.5 yds for shorts version.
- A coordinating spool of polyester, all-purpose thread
All tools, patterns, and elastic will be provided.
- Adults 18+
- Skill Level: Experienced Beginner You should be able to independently thread the machine, load a bobbin, and adjust the settings on the machine. Ideally, you'll already have taken our Introduction to the Sewing Machine Class AND Beginning Sewing (or have the equivalent skills already).
