Sewing with zippers really isn’t that scary— we promise! In this class, you’ll learn how to install a zipper while making a zippered pouch! You can never have too many zipper pouches (and they make great gifts)!

This class is beginner-friendly although we do strongly recommend that you start with our Beginning Sewing class first.

We'll meet for three hours for this class.  You can work on our studio machines (Brother CS6000i) or bring your own machine to work on.  You'll be responsible for bringing your own cotton fabric, thread, and zipper(s).  Please bring (2) fat quarters (18"x21"), (1) spool of coordinating all-purpose thread, & (1) zipper at least 10" long.  All materials can be purchased from us if you'd like to come early to do some shopping.  We offer 10% off materials for workshop participants!

  • Teen & Adult
  • Level: Confident Beginner
Must be able to independently thread machine, load bobbin, sew a straight line
  • If this workshop is sold out, email us at cutandsew.phl@gmail.com to get on the wait list.
  • This workshop requires at least 2 students to run.  In the event of low enrollment, your registration fee may be applied to a future workshop, or it may be refunded minus a small transaction fee.

We're still wearing masks and we'd love it if you would too.

Our goal is to make our studio financially accessible to as many people as possible.  We do this through our tiered pricing model.
